We were delighted to be invited by Amnesty International Nigeria to commemorate the International Day of the African Child. Our Executive Director Chinyere Eyoh was part of the panel that discussed the rights of children in a digital environment which held during the event.

Under the African Women's Development Fund project, The 60 volunteer members of the established IDP Camp/Community Child Protection Committee members (CCPC) in Anyiin and Uikpam, Benue State, were trained for 3 days to equip them with the knowledge to respond sexual violence against girls.

In Nigeria, 44% of women are married before they turn 18. #UNTF grantee SOAR Initiative encourages girls to take the lead in sexual violence prevention and awareness-raising activities. 👉bit.ly/UNTFSOAR

On International day of #RuralWomen and girls, advocate for the empowerment and rights of rural women and girls – who are still overexposed to discrimination and under-protected from high risk of #VAWG.

Thanks to UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women , our Girls Empowered to Arise (GEMS Arise) Mentoring Sessions reached 116 more adolescent girls in Gbajimba IDP Camp 2 in Benue state with information and skills against sexual violence.
