I was a full stereotypical Brit today (and I loved it!) Started the day with hot water with a squirt of jif lemon 😂👀 A 2+hour walk up a hill 🥾 A roast dinner 🍽️ Fully moisturised 🧖‍♀️ Brilliant day! ✨ Happy New Year Everyone 🤍🌿

Bought this parking garage for 4yo’s first Christmas. It has never, ever been used as a parking garage. Don’t think it’s ever seen a car. It’s a staple in our play! Usually always ends up as an animal habitat, today it’s been farm themed 🌿

Today I saw BLUE sky! I haven’t seen anything but grey / cloud skies for over a month! Hadn’t realised this until I saw the sky today and was just taken aback with the blue 🩵🤍 Most surprising? … I was in Blackpool! Never seen a blue sky in Blackpool before 😂

Back to school Monday - new school, new job, very exciting! Prep for back to school today involved: - getting my nails done 💅🏻 - full tank of fuel - ironed clothes for school - bought new glass lunch boxes (to inspire to me to bring lunches and not rely on cuppa soups)

Todays back to school prep: - full house clean - fresh bedding on all beds - all washing washed, dried and away - inside the car hoovered and packed - long walk with my friends Still to do: - make packed lunches - wash hair - yoga (I’m only on day 3 but that’s okay!)

Wow. Intense but WONDERFUL first day! No emails working yet - so a comprehensive handover and beginning to clear out my office! Raging headache as I forgot my prepacked lunch at home and had to rely on … a cuppa soup 😂😳 Really, really excited for this new chapter!

I LOVE this “you’re not allowed work emails on your phone” - but out of habit I keep swiping to the app, but of course it is deleted! It is a switch off!

First week out of class complete! Such a warm welcome, extremely thorough handover, and lots done but still loads to go! I cannot tell you all how excited I am for this chapter!

Mums are amazing. We are very lucky that my mum looks after 2y.o for us on a Friday and she’s done 3 loads of washing and drying today for us as we had fallen behind this week. I came home and cried grateful tears! Really needed that after a longgg week 🤍🌿

Spent my first half term + a week, in education but out of a classroom and I am the busiest I have ever been! Wow - what a change! Loving it but very much feeling there’s not enough hours in a day … reminding myself I’m only 7 weeks in! 🌿🤍

I actually LOVE Race Across the World. It’s my favourite programme! Caught up on all the new series but hubby is out tonight so I have started from series 1 again with a glass of bubbles! 🥂 Hoping everyone has a lovely bank holiday 🤍🌿

The first class I taught have left school today … secondary school. And I can still see them, fresh faced as eager Year 3’s! Such a wonderful and magical cohort! 🤍🤍🤍
