Today, our Policy Manager, Alexandre Bloxs, is remotely joining the #AccessibleEU event in Madrid. In the panel “Users of the Urban Environment,” Alexandre emphasised the importance of recognising national sign languages as fully-fledged languages, essential for true inclusion.

EUD emphasised increasing NSLs visibility for social equality: "Deaf people can do anything as long as they receive the opportunity to interact in their national sign languages." He called for a flagship initiative on NSLs in the next Disability Rights Strategy action plan.
