I've had a big week. I'm attending a Smashing Magazine 🇺🇦 🏳️‍🌈 workshop on design systems and have learned a bunch, set up some deployment pipelines thanks to advice from Maciek Palmowski, and have been reading all of the things I missed in the web performance world. 'Bout to get my fitness on.

I've been working on things away from performance at my employer. Unfortunately, that means there was a regression for some sites I work on. We're in our early days of performance culture, but it goes to show how important it is. Performance policing is unsustainable.

I've been trying to get a site I work on to have a good LCP at p75. I've been able to hit the mark on other sites, but it looks like it might be an editorial issue. The LCP for this site is often a portrait image 9:16, so they are often larger than images on the other sites.
