In Java, to process an annotation that has a Class passed into it, you call the getter method like normal which then throws an Exception that you catch, then you may extract the value from the Exception. As far as I can tell this is the accepted way to do this.

I'm losing my fucking mind over the open-source discourse. You think someone who can spend 2 years working on an open source project to secretly insert a backdoor can't just get a job at Microsoft? At least with open source any curious dev can look into a suspicious delay.
