Today in Remote Learning we are holding two assemblies, one for Kindergarten to Grade 3 students this morning, and one this afternoon for Grades 4-8. Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to show our support for First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples.

Yesterday our students participated in our monthly assembly introducing the traits of the Elementary Remote Learning School. Once a month we will host with a focus on resilience, efficacy, mindfulness, optimism, thankful, and empathy. Well Done Tabish and Aaron our student hosts!

Our Remote Learning staff and students participated in our live stream Remembrance Day assemblies today. We reflected on what peace means and the sacrifices others made that support our freedoms in Canada today. The student artwork and readings were an important part of today.

Yesterday while I visited the grade 4/5 class Daniel, David and Matthew taught me about coding and shared their incredible work. Then I went to a grade 5/6 class and an actual video game with 8 levels has been created by a student, he will be sharing it with his classmates soon🥰

In Our grade 2 class, Mrs. Lonial read a book, "My Big Umbrella". This book talks about friendship, inclusiveness and shelter from the rain. The red umbrella likes to help, likes to give people shelter and likes to bring people together. We discussed it and created umbrella art.
