It can be so hard to have a disability in this country. Glad to see this push for the Covid-19 Medicaid maintenance of effort to be implemented as the type Medicaid the person had, rather than any Medicaid card.

40 states have now adopted Medicaid expansion. Medicaid expansion ballot initiatives have been successful in all states where they have gone to voters: ID, ME, MO, NE, OK, UT, & now SD. But, of the 11 remaining non-expansion states, most don't have ballot initiative processes.

Voters in Mississippi, where hospitals are shutting down due to lack of expansion, would have been able to vote to expand Medicaid last Tuesday. But two days after the campaign to put it on the ballot began, the MS Supreme Court struck down our entire ballot initiative process.
