Choosing EID tags for this year. Have been Shearwell for ages but have a neighbour using them. Was thinking Zeetag FET tags which we have also been happy with but another neighbour is using them. So we are using Leader Multitronic. #looksdifferent #EidAlAdha

I was visually drafting mixed age ewes. The Datamars FET #EID tags put in at 2020 marking should be purple like the photo of the surplus tag vs the faded one in the ear. Now they are very hard to distinguish from Shearwell white tags Cost almost $2/tag. Share your experiences

Just found this video taken exactly 12 months ago of a Shearwell orange #eid tag that has faded to pink. They are even worse 12 mths on. Last week one of my staff asked me what to do with the pink tag ewes. I said they were meant to be orange. Not good enough. #eidfail

Recently pulled the rams out after a 3 week joining. Preg scanner usually finds that most ewes are joined in the first cycle. Benefits will be short lambing making paddock management easier, earlier marking and earlier weaning without a tail which is usually the late lambs
