Not to be totally overshadowed but the Spiritwood EF3 and two more high end EF2s (one seconds after the Enderlin EF5) shows just how insanely volatile the atmosphere was this day despite strong capping, forcing found a way to take full advantage followed by historic derecho!

I drew the Enderlin, ND EF-5 tornado, the "Drought-Breaker" Wanted to capture the sculpted updraft and the wedge, and tossed in a lightning strike and powerflash for dynamics. One of my new favs!

It was brought to my attention that the Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is at risk of being eliminated due to budget cuts. This would be a huge mistake...UNL is and has been at the forefront of some of the most groundbreaking

Hail is very non-uniformly distributed around the world. For much of the world, you almost never see hail large enough to damage solar panels. The central USA does have some issues though. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

These images look off to me. Not saying they’re definitely AI, but I’m awfully suspicious. If they are AI, then why? There are plenty of local photography enthusiasts who would be happy to have their real foliage images shared (myself included)

Unless someone I actually know took the photo or video, or multiple reputable people back it up, I'm not going to 'retweet' or 'like' it. The age of fake and/or A.I. fakes is upon us with all it's b.s. fury.

Hey, fellow storm chasers, a new Kwik Trip location has opened in the Brainerd/Baxter area of Minnesota. It should be a good spot to wait for storms next spring/summer. #mnwx

While I'm glad many got to get out and experience the Aurora over the past few days, it was pretty disappointing to see several larger accounts posting these wild graphics of where the Auroral view line will be seen and gaining thousands of engagement likes/views and gained

All AI-generated content should be tagged with AI and a way to filter it out of my feeds. I don't want to see that garbage. It's not as bad here, but Facebook is absolutely flooded with it.
