Nice little feature on my #ManuscriptFragments exhibit at Ohio State OSU really has a fab collection of #MedievalManuscripts Come visit! There are also some true oddities that we were able to secure via loan from other collectors.

Super-excited to share the newest medieval manuscript I landed for my library: a lovely compendium of medieval world history by Vincent of Beauvais. Never thought I’d get something like this for our students and researchers! So glad it all worked out with generous donor support!

Lovely clear watermark evidence on this bifolium from an as-yet unidentified medieval dictionary. Watermark = Briquet 12995, MS likely produced in Bavaria, ca.1440-50. 16 bifolia in total, each w/ this mark; once recycled as pasteboard book covers. #Fragmentology #manuscripts

Just added this nice #OttoEge leaf to my library’s collection. OSU now has two folios from this MS (shelfmark: Spec.Rare.MS.MR.Frag.456). #OhioMSS #fragmentology #MedievalManuscripts #Psalter

Just added this fascinating medieval medical #ManuscriptFragment to my library’s collection. It’s likely that this treatise was used in the Middle Ages at the hospital that recycled it as an account book wrapper. Text from Tractate 4 of Serapion’s text. #OhioMSS #fragmentology

Latest press on my exhibit at my library. This was a good week for the show, with multiple special medievalist visits, from Boston, Cincinnati, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and more! Looking forward to more visitors and tours in the coming weeks…
