5 years ago I was against phone bans in K-12. Fast forward to 2023, I am for every single K-12 school to ban phones.

We don’t allow phones at our building and, quite frankly, nobody should. Kids don’t need smart phones. They need to be kids.

How do we trend set these types of phones for kids when parents feel it is necessary for them to have a device? Adult smart phones shouldn’t be in the hands of kids. If the argument for having a phone is for emergency communication, a “dumb” phone is all you need…
