"Time spent in high-quality outdoors spaces improves physical health, especially the immune system which has never more important than today. We know that children are 22% more likely to engage in moderate to vigorous activity playing outdoors." - From Early Childhood Health Outdoors (ECHO) #ThriveOutside

If you need to win over the hearts and minds of your state policymakers to support #EarlyChildhoodEducation being outside, connect them with places like Washington state who has made it happen! Great ideas and points by Aliza Yair of WA State Department of Children, Youth & Families at #ThriveOutside

Child Care Aware of America #Minnesota still has a lot of work to do, especially since the pandemic exacerbated existing racial disparities. Community Solutions Grant Program is one promising policy for supporting young children. Need to continue to remove barriers for BIPOC educators. #ThankYouChildCare
PAY PROVIDERS MORE! Over half of early educators rely on public assistance, and, on average, they make $13.51/hour (data: CSCCE at UC Berkeley). To make the model more equitable, we must commit to paying educators like the professionals they are. #ThankYouChildCare #ThinkBabies
