I have now been sent the Labour dossier on their claim to save the average household £6,700. Even by the standards of modern politics, it is impossible to stress how bloody shoddy these numbers are and how quickly they fall apart. Thread follows, with occasional swearing.

As a scientist and Christian I find #aliceroberts tweet unhelpful. I feel there is already too much of a science vs religion narrative when in my experience there are plenty of christian scientists. I don't want children growing up to think they can't be both.

Had a great day at the Women in Chemistry Conference Women in Chemistry UoN yesterday. Really inspiring talks and the advice of 'You are better than you think you are' should be my new mantra.

A piece I encourage you to all read. A first person account of a Jewish employee at The Guardian, in the immediate aftermath of October 7th. If you're anything like me, it will make you incredibly angry. It also won't surprise you in the slightest. jewishnews.co.uk/opinion-the-gu…
