Why do we love cake and ice cream? My lab's latest paper in Cell Metabolism led by @molly_mcdougle identifies separate gut-reward circuits for fat and sugar. Foods combining fat and sugar recruit both reward circuits to increase motivation to overeating. authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S15…

“This is another example of DeSantis weaponizing state government to promote or oppose his political causes and to tamp down speech he doesn’t like. The FL Department of Health went as far as threatening legal action against TV stations that aired ads in support of Amendment 4”

This morning is the first time I’ve ever thought about leaving Florida. I love it here, but 58% was so close. Our state made sure we had the right to hunt and fish, but not women’s health care. I’m so sad.
