Today East Bay Regional Park District held a groundbreaking for a new 2.5 mile stretch of the San Francisco Bay Trail, connecting the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to Point Molate. Over 350 miles of the Bay Trail has been completed, with plans to have a total of 500 miles of trail encircling the Bay.
