I can’t speak for how it is everywhere else, but I have 2 kids in elementary school. They get homework on Monday to be returned on Friday. It takes maybe 10-20 min. I rarely have to assist. Seems like a perfectly reasonable way to ease into it before middle school. 🤷‍♂️
