Thank you Pippa Heylings 🔶️ MP for South Cambridgeshire for taking the time to visit our specialist rehab beds - when rehab is well funded there are great patient and hospital outcomes. Unfortunately nationally, rehabilitation services are often under-funded. See petitionforrehab.com #rightforrehab Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)

Honestly, next time a clinician tells you that no further recovery is possible beyond a year or so after your #stroke, ask them to explain the science behind their view. Some discussion of the 'plateau' from 16:45 here youtube.com/watch?v=IFUayZ…… @PTcoach Mike Garrow Know Stroke

If only we had the AHP workforce to provide rehab on Sat & Sun in an acute stroke ward & stroke rehab ward! 7/7 rehab is vital to flow, improving clinical outcomes & returning people to their homes & work. Been really disappointed by what I’ve seen this W/E. Wes Streeting

'Rehab is key not just to good recovery but to prevention of future demand on the NHS.' 👏 Wes Streeting on the importance of rehab in making the NHS work, in response to a question by physiotherapist 💙Rachael Maskell MP MP. #RightToRehab

Really excellent videos on 'Managing Ataxia' developed by Genny Hart & Suzanne Booth at the Queen Square Ataxia service, available on the links below ACPIN Ataxia UK UCLH Neurorehab at Queen Square Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Research Group (NMRR) youtube.com/watch?v=EuRz2y… youtube.com/watch?v=wuRMku…

If the government is really going to spend £1bn a year extra on helping people back into jobs, then I hope a big chunk is going to be spent on improving and delivering effective rehabilitation, not just in acute settings, but for life google.com/search?q=rehab… Wes Streeting

Getting people active, self-caring and back to work after (neurological) injury requires good quality rehabilitation. Here's just one example. I'm sure the community can share others with Wes Streeting Liz Kendall

'Rehabilitation isn't optional, it's an essential.' Sara Hazzard (She/Her) was interviewed on BBC News, warning of the impact of major service cuts, in response to reports that the NHS England has tasked health trusts with making unprecedented savings. #RightToRehab
