We had a beautiful sunny morning for our sponsored school walk this week. Every class enjoyed their walk in the fresh spring air! Thank you to everyone who donated towards our children's fundraiser for the school.

Members of Kinsale Tidy Towns Committee and Ian from SuperValu called to the school to donate 2 plants for us to add to our garden. Our first class "rubbish monsters" met with them and explained how they keep our school tidy through their Picker Pals Programme.Kinsale Online

It was friendship week this week. All children enjoyed lots of collaborative and fun activities with their own and other classes. Balloon race, buddy reading and friendship bracelets were some of the activities. Everyone has been reminded of what it means to be a good friend!

1st, 3rd and 5th class had a special Antarctica talk with Doug Henderson; learning all about his adventures there. They even did a video call with Peter McCarthy, grandson of the renowned explorer Mortimer McCarthy, who is currently working in Antarctica! #Science #explorers

The whole school showed their brilliant creativity today, by taking part in "Anything but a Bag Day". School bags were replaced with everything from wheelbarrows to prams and scooters! What a fun activity for the end of the school year! #creativeschool #thinkoutsidethebox

Sixth class have demonstrated excellent cooking and baking skills, as well as teamwork in their Masterchef task. They prepared delicious 3 course meals, making everything from spaghetti carbonara, to mini pizzas to chocoloate brownies and much more. #masterchef #lifeskills
