Doing the last segment of the conclusion now. Went to grab a book from my shelf. Me (grabbing book): “No, I don’t want cults, I want serial killers.” …. Is it too late to change my research topic to something about rainbows or lollipops? 🍭

You know you’re at the pointy end of your PhD project when you spend half an hour questioning the use of a comma. #PhDJourney

Love this show! It’s a bit formulaic and does lean a little too heavily on the “evil genius” trope, but it gets the science (mostly) right and is genuinely edge-of-the seat scary—even for someone doing a PhD in serial killers. #thehuntingparty #serialkillers

OK, so I’m a couple of weeks late submitting my final PhD thesis revisions. It sounds a bit like “the dog ate my homework” but my excuses are my dad passed away and then there was a cyclone. #CycloneAlfred #PhD

Ever since #CycloneAlfred and being without power for several days, I feel a bit prehistoric—every time I turn on the light it feels a bit like magic!

Thankfully, I’m way too busy to stress about my upcoming #PhDThesis defence. Madly submitting 2 books to agents and publishers and working on three more manuscripts. Not giving myself any time to worry, and intend to hit the ground running once the thesis defence is done.

Just a thought for the day… imagine how hard it would be if you actually did work for the Bank of Nigeria. No one would ever believe you were legit. #thoughtoftheday
