I try not to teach when I am fitting clubs, but I don’t mind fitting clubs while I’m teaching, especially when I know it will make a huge difference.

Saw this on Golf Channel a little while ago and thought it was kinda cool.

Asked a guy to let me tweak loft setting on old Callaway driver today. Can’t remember model, maybe razor X. Took it from 9° to 11° and he went from 165 yards to 220. I know that sounds hard to believe but this does happen occasionally. Wish it happened more often!

No my job does not get boring. Yesterday I taught a player whose club face was so open he was swinging 22° from the outside. Today I taught a guy whose club face was so closed he was swinging 15° from the inside. Hoping to get them together so I can add them up and divide by 2!

3 lessons with super nice 77 yr old man. Progress made but not to extent I wanted. 4th lesson he asked for short game help. Did great. At end he said “May I hit a few full shots to show you how well I’m hitting.” He absolutely crushed it. That’s what golf instructors live for!

A question I often get when giving a lesson is “should I swing like this with all my clubs?” Makes it tough to hide my inner smart ass!

A bit after the fact but we were grateful for our crew chief “Ollie” at our Halloween party.

87-year-old retired baseball coach. Worked with some pretty big names. Shoots his age or better every day. This is the swing he brought with him. Way too much in to out, but made some amazing changes in a very short period of time. Nothing but admiration for a guy like this!

Played 9 True Blue Golf Club with daughter today. Rarely play. Maybe 1x per yr. Goal was simply to enjoy. Putted for bird on 7 holes. Made 0. Chipped in for bird though. Doubled other missed green. Lost major distance but at 66 nice to know there’s still a bit of game in this old man!
