I’ve not worn glasses for almost a year and a half at this point but the 28 years that I did still mean I reach around/under invisible ones when I go to rub my eye.

This last 1% of the dissertation make ruin the last of my will to live. Just 10 days more till I send the draft to the committee.

I am a disgusting, terrible human. And I’m ok with that.

Today is the first day in four years that I have nothing and nobody waiting for my attention. No dissertation. No plans. No work projects. Just me, living.

The levels of intention behind this are unfathomable.

I get the concern here (preservatives, processed foods, nutrition balance), but there are so many reasons why someone might go this route for their dinner. Picky kids, limited time, limited cooking experience, food desert, etc. And also valid—maybe it just tastes good to them.

What makes me laugh about the #SnowWhite drama is that Disney is 100% counting on outrage to gain attention. It was the same thing with #Ariel—the movie had a specific logic for why she was Black, but the studio ignored that and chose to drop her race like a bomb for attention.
