Unbelievable! While the 35th Senate District is vacant because Rep Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet was elected to Congress, Governor Gretchen Whitmer is too busy campaigning for her to call a special election to fill her seat.

Last week: heavy winds and rain, no power outage. Today: moderate rain, power outage. DTE_Energy this makes no sense

"No, sorry, I can't show up to vote and do my job today, I have to appear on a late-night talk show that loses $40 million a year and just got canned." (Sen. Elissa Slotkin probably)

Republicans and Democrats agree: Governor Gretchen Whitmer needs to call a special election for Michigan's 35th Senate District and give a voice to 270k residents. newsweek.com/michigan-senat…

After 230 days, Governor Gretchen Whitmer's refusal to call an election in the 35th state senate district sends a clear message: partisan politics and power matter more to her than giving voters a voice in Lansing. michiganforwardnetwork.com/press-releases…

🚨The Wall Street Journal Opinion blasts Governor Gretchen Whitmer for leaving 270k Michiganders without a voice in Lansing. “The longer Ms. Whitmer disrespects the 35th District, the more voters may wonder why they’d support the party of a Governor who doesn’t trust their judgment.” wsj.com/opinion/gretch…

Does Governor Gretchen Whitmer really expect us to believe she's "troubled" by the $20 million grant she proposed for her friend, donor, and then-MEDC Board member, Fay Beydoun?

The announcement for the 35th state Senate district comes 238 days too late. It will be over 500 days by the time the district has representation again. This egregious inaction is a new low for Governor Gretchen Whitmer. michiganforwardnetwork.com/press-releases…
