Today, the group went on a large circuit visit to a number of Canadian Battlefields including Paaschendaele and Ypres and finally Vimy Ridge as well as visiting cemeteries: British Empire (Tyne Cot), German (Langemark), and Canadian (Vimy Ridge). Touching day

On a visit to Ypres today....amidst the visiting of the town and surrounding historical sites, CHS squad were treated to specials in Belgian chocolate shops. They were SO happy. Great day in all ways! Thanks CHS squad.

Well, we say goodbye to the European continent shortly as we make our way to the Chunnel and England. First stop: Canterbury Cathedral.

Bus tour 'round London this morning....some other treats, like the Millennium Wheel, and dinner at Hard Rock Cafe this evening.

Tomorrow will be insane for the students...insane in a good way. Westminster Abbey first up, then Canada House to meet the Consul General, followed by shopping and the Imperial War Museum...and finally the Tower of London. All topped off with Fish and Chips. Whew.

We just returned from Heathrow and snowy London. Happy St. Patrick's Day. It's the only day of the year I use my real Irish family name: David Paul O'Saikaley. My late granny Christina Mary Sutton insisted on it!!
