Time for my 2026 prediction: The new Fed/Treasury love story will be one for the ages. We will all watch in amazement as they find all kinds of new and exciting ways to pump ungodly amounts of money into all manner of unspeakably-depraved nonsense.

Trump has it backwards. The U.S. doesn’t subsidize the world; the world subsidizes the U.S. The dollar’s reserve-currency status allows us to live beyond our means. Soaring debt, tariffs, and military threats jeopardize that status. When it’s lost, economic collapse will follow.

This platform is a beautiful case study in logical fallacies. “Whataboutism” is one of the most widely perpetrated logical fallacies. Below is an example of such a fallacy. When arguing a position, it is important to avoid fallacies, as they erode any reasoning behind it.
