Hounslow council have banned Lime bikes, and licensed Forest and Voi; neighbouring Richmond has licensed Lime and banned the others. So every bridge is Checkpoint Charlie, with loads of Lime bikes parked on one side and loads of Forest and Voi on the other. Top work everyone!
Pan London e-bike regulations are required to ensure dockless bikes work for everyone.
For years we've been asking for powers to sort this out.

Bolt bikes in London nerve seem to be well geofenced. And with a range of fines for out of zone ending of rides. Why do fewer (no?) riders end rides out of zone, unlike eg Lime?
The planned extension of pay as you go contactless ticketing to a further 20 stations across the Greater Anglia network, announced last month, has been postponed and is now expected to take place in summer 2026.

By the time authorities have spent their resources collecting badly parked Lime bikes they probably won’t save much £ as Beryl manage their assets better from what I’ve seen. Also, new bikes? Or just send a load of excess tat from another City?
