DSC2 Top Tip You don't need to have access to a deer larder to complete your DSC2 witnessed stalk, but be prepared to answer questions on larder design, best practice, chiller temperatures, record keeping and hygiene . All the information you'll need is in the DSC1 manual!

DSC2 Top Tip! Being able to locate and analyse evidence at the strike site is a vital part of deer stalking as it allows us to come up with our plan for the next steps. Where do you think this deer was hit based on the evidence?

A vital part of Game Meat Hygiene is the "cold chain", keeping the carcass at or below 7 degrees until it gets to its final destination. Planning for this is vital when the weather is hot or you need to transport a carcass a long way. The YETI do an amazing job!

DCS2 Top Tip! Being able to stalk into a deer is a key part of the DSC2 assessment. That doesn't mean you cant make use of things like high seats to shot your deer, you'll just have to show your witness that you can stalk into a separate deer to tick the relevant box!
