At some point, we have to talk about the fact that, in what is consistently touted as a thriving economy, the key concern w/closing schools b/c of COVID-19 is “children who rely on school food won’t get to eat.” If the economy Is so great, why aren’t the babies eating?

I have a very close friend who’s a researcher studying public health at a major NGO, and he told me that this was THE week to practice as much social distancing as possible, even if you don’t have to go to work. I asked him to explain why. Sharing his answers w/ permission (1/x)
