#OTD in 1853 the 1st issue of The Provincial Freeman was printed in Windsor. It moved to Toronto in 1854 then Chatham (1855). #DYK It had multiple editors including William P. Newman, H. Ford Douglass & Isaac Shadd, but Mary Ann Shadd was the driving force behind the newspaper.
