In psychiatry, when two separate drug treatments fail you, you can be defined as 'treatment resistant' even if you have not undergone psychotherapy or any other psycho-social intervention.....

On 12 Dec Boris Johnson asked NHS & local govt to massively expand booster campaign at huge pace. Latest data & like for like days (Tues 7 Dec to Tues 21) show boosters administered has gone from 391k to 968k a day (a 2.5x increase) in fortnight. R/T if you agree this is amazing!

Almost all MPs standing behind Boris - how media is claiming Boris Johnson is going. Family of Conservatives support Boris as our leader. Economy & vaccination success can’t be muted.

We should stop using suicide risk asst tools. Evidence clear, most agree. Why do they persist? Defensive practice, form-filling culture. What to do instead? Individual approach to safety, skilled, collaborative, involving family. Govt #SuicidePrevention advisory group today.

I know that almost no-one in the UK wants to hear this, but the number of people being hospitalised who are +ve for COVID is increasing again (before anyone asks - we are seeing people admitted because of COVID, & not just incidental cases) 1/6

This is nuts. 3.5 million people positive with SARS-CoV-2 in the last week in England. 1 in 16 people. In Scotland this is 1 in 11. We're at the level of the infections at the previous omicron peak in England & have exceeded it in Scotland & Wales. 🧵
