The impact of this latest U-turn is being vastly overstated by both Govt and some trade bodies. The vast majority of pubs and bars are permitted to make off-sales in any case! Much more action is needed from Govt to help our struggling hospitality sector.

Very sorry to hear that Cllr Andy Roberts has passed away. Worcester City Council has lost two incredibly decent and sensible Councillors this year with Cllr Simon Cronin also passing away in May. Both were good men whose wisdom and hard work will be much missed.

Rugby Borough Council have absolutely no legal power to accept a TEN for tomorrow morning as valid unless it was served before 14th August. They can of course decide to turn a blind eye to people selling without alcohol without legal authority, but they cannot make it lawful.
