While the £71,000 figure is wrong. The claim isn’t that people are getting £71k in benefits. The claim is that you’d have to EARN £71k. Obviously you’d lose a lot of that in tax. You have to address the actual claim to prove them wrong.

I can now only assume this person (who has now disabled my replies) is deliberately misinterpreting what I say. They’re asking me to provide evidence for something I didn’t directly claim. The extreme ends of the trans movement caused the GC response is my point.

That’s NOT the membership deciding Typically in orgs like that turnout for elections to the board is very low. Activists can then move the organisation in a direction that the members don’t necessarily support. The EU can be a bit like that too. Part of the reason we left
