This may be the best map in Denver Dept of Transportation & Infrastructure's draft Denver Moves Every One plan. Just needs some more blue and/or purple. This is how we start actually reducing our car dependency, and making progress toward all our goals around sustainability, equity, prosperity, etc.

Please sign this petition to have CDOT/Denver DOTI pause the next phase of I-25/Broadway reconstruction and redesign it to prioritize bike/ped safety and comply with Denver's sustainability plans and policies. secure.everyaction.com/AKAqNTk1hUqRNI…

This year, with a historic focus on housing affordability at the state legislature, it's crucial that we elect strong local leaders that will support policies fighting to end the housing shortage. So it’s time to announce the first round of YIMBY Denver endorsements!

Honored to receive the YIMBY Denver endorsement! We have so much work to do to boost the stock of housing, especially at affordable rates, in Denver. Abundant and accessible housing is foundational to smart and sustainable growth in our city.

We have a moral obligation to end people living on the street. As Mayor, I will build 1,400 units of safe, dignified housing in 10-20 micro communities across the City that provide mental health and addiction services. We know this works. Here’s how we do it:

This year, as the state legislature brings a historic focus to housing affordability in Colorado, it's crucial that Denver elects a mayor who will fight for policies that will bring an end to the housing shortage. We are proud to endorse Mike Johnston for Mayor of Denver.

@samuelbrasch Ped+bike+transit+public spaces+dense mixed-use development are necessary to create a safe, vibrant, equitable, sustainable pedestrian-oriented city. We built cities that way for millennia before cars. It's the only way forward. Our next mayor must make that their defining legacy.

Elisabeth Epps Disappointed. We gain no benefits keeping a 150-acre defunct golf course, but we gain huge social and environmental benefits by having 1000s of needed homes + jobs/services in a walkable, mixed-use, higher-density community next to a 100-acre park close to an RTD train station.

Monday morning thoughts 🧵: No one development project will solve our affordable housing crisis or halt suburban sprawl. No one bus lane or bike lane or sidewalk will eliminate traffic fatalities or reduce car dependency. No one park will stop climate change.

Over a decade ago, I worked w/ then-State Rep Brittany Pettersen to pass the 2013 gun package. Today, I am proud to have earned the Gun Sense Distinction from Moms Demand Action. There is more we can do at the city-level to stop the cycle of violence & address root causes of gun violence

YIMBY Denver is excited to support HB23-1255, which would prohibit the enforcement of anti-growth laws that restrict the growth of Colorado's housing stock! Thank you @RubyForColorado, William Lindstedt and Senadora Julie Gonzales for co-sponsoring this fantastic piece of legislation! #coleg

What if every time a person is killed by a motorist, the street where it happens is permanently shut down to cars and trucks and becomes a green space/bikeway/pedestrian-filled public space? What would our city be like in a decade?

Road diet measures just installed on 15th Street at Blake reducing the number of through lanes. And in coordination with the new bike lane on Blake.

Come on Colorado State Patrol. There is no emergency situation happening downtown. And being parked here for over 24 hours is creating an ever larger safety issue for bikers in the city.
