How an associate professor is confused about this is beyond comprehension.. could it be the 2 opposition councillors who motioned for a plebiscite on a budget item 🤔 or the mayoral challengers hinging their campaigns on identity politics 🤔

Not a big fan of referendums to open intersections, but if it were clear & voting was allowed for kids, I'd love to see the result. For example, I'd like to hear from everyone under 18 which of these 2 they would choose. Its their future after all, not mine. #PortageAndMain

This is such a lazy take. While mid-rise buildings work well on main roads with services like transit, placing them "everywhere" including on quieter streets in peripheral areas without amenities undermines the credibility of infill as a tool for sustainable planning and growth.
