@GovAbbott 1. Parents already have freedom and rights. I know - I am one. 2. You signed 0️⃣ bills to support the MILLIONS of children in Texas public schools. 3. We already already empowered 🤦🏻‍♀️ and have education freedom. So when do you plan on doing something for ALL the children of Texas?

Public Ed funding is held hostage by 2 people - Governor and Lt. Gov. No vouchers- no new $ in the biggest surplus $ in history? Throw teachers under bus and trash the system they have been in charge of for years? Woke? No both need to wake up and do their jobs. Be leaders

Anyone think Greg Abbott will go visit the winning public schools of the Texas UIL Lone Star Cup? My school is one of the 5 winners, and there's nothing I'd like more than to show him around our semi-rural, low income campus that performs well *despite* his administration. 1/3

I think what frustrates me most these days is how ignorant many Texans are about how public schools are funded and what our financial reality is. For the record: - We do not have bargaining unions. - We do not get a pension. We pay into TRS, which is like SS.

Good leaders meet the moment and represent and promote the needs of those who they represent. Tx Leg has neglected that duty. To force districts to adopt deficit budgets when they are sitting on the largest surplus in history is reprehensible. All to bow to the wishes of donors.

Big Bad Bear Sometimes you got to go to the mat… Check this out. Every district should take a stand. They can’t take over every district…there’s strength in numbers.

Jay Wright (Villanova) was a Culture KING. Why? Here are 5 Jay Wright quotes that shed some light💡. 1: “We have a saying that everyone’s role is different, but everyone’s status is the same. It’s a reminder that no matter how bright the spotlight gets, we are all part of

Glad I got that CDL many moons ago. One of our middle school girls’ soccer teams needed a driver for their game today. Happy to help. Duties as assigned!🤣 #GoDawgs

Truth👇👇Vouchers are a horrible idea that will not solve the problems they claim to solve! Take a couple of minutes to read a little bit about why this would be a disaster & then do a little research on other states who have them! Not good! This must get voted down!

The scary part of Abbott's School Choice plan is the lack of fiscal responsibility built in or even considered. $4 billion entitlement with millions for vendors and middle men/ TEA. Raises performance how? Gives $ to kids not in the system w/ no input to state accountability?

Robert O’Connor (@cowboysupt) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Effects on TRS and already admits $ is a fixed asset so when you siphon off that $ it does affect the funds of the 5.5 million kids the State is actually responsible for? Choice is the schools- it will be economic segregation. The private and homeschool have made the choice to

Robert O’Connor (@cowboysupt) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Be outside the system and when you take the $ you accept the accountability unless the State is now "giving" $ away? $10k per student when no one pays that amount in school tax is economic malpractice. Conservative? Hardly....

Congratulations to soccer on making the playoffs for the playoffs for the first time in school history. Good luck and safe travels to our girls powerlifters (track athletes) as they head to the state meet. The best thing about being at a small school, kids doing multiple things.
