Zoom tip. If you are "Zooming" from your classroom and have a projector, use it as an extended desktop. Put the kids/zoom in grid view on the projector and your screen share/slides on your laptop. Works really well and allows you to "see" the kids while teaching from your slides.

This is the truth. Teachers are trying so very hard, working far into the night, unable to sleep, and always searching for the better way. Support them...PERIOD!!!

Teachers, your best is good enough. You bring a unique set of talents and strengths that no one else does. You were hired for your strengths. Focus on them and Stop comparing yourself to others. Your best is more than enough!

There are teachers who are strong, outspoken, highly motivated, and who like to take ideas and run with them or speak up when things aren’t working. Some admin are Intimidated by such teachers, but effective admin embrace them for the leaders that they are.

This is my third holiday in a row alone. It would be nice to know we're together in this, even if we're by ourselves. So, maybe RT this if you're being safe and spending New Year's Eve alone.

If I have learned anything about 2020 it’s how calm and strong I can be under uncertainty and unpredictability. If you are reading this you have persevered too. It may still be rough but you are blessed to still experience life and all it brings. #HAPPYNEWYEAR

I had someone tell me to keep politics out of my lesson and just teach. I teach History. That is like telling a Math teacher to keep numbers out of their lessons or telling an English teacher to keep words out of their lessons.

The Vigo County School Board adopted a resolution opposing "significant new program spending" by the Indiana Legislature on non-public schools at the expense of public schools. Instead, the board encourages continued support of public schools in the next biennial budget.

Schedule for Vigo County School Corp. middle and high school students will NOT change April 5. Board plans to further discuss at next meeting in April. Concerns about too many schedule changes, and right after spring break.

Board did not vote on the matter, but did have lengthy discussion. Hank Irwin suggested possibly going to five days May 3.
