This morning, the DDSB and the Oshawa and Durham Métis Council Métis Nation of Ontario shared in readings, played spoons, and raised the Métis flag at our Education Centre ahead of Louis Riel Day (November 16).

Today we commemorate Louis Riel, Métis leader and the founder of Manitoba and celebrate Métis culture, history and language. #LouisRielDay

On #transgender day of remembrance let us stand in solidarity and pay tribute to victims of #transphobia, continue to raise awareness and ensure schools are safe and welcoming places for trans, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming people.

Some students at Glengrove PS came to Pheasants Pen Outdoor Education Centre to learn fire teachings from Migizi Webb!
