An action packed week! Activities included a history festival, a leadership summit at Wycombe Abbey and our annual Higher Education conference. A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising these events - we are incredibly lucky to receive such fantastic opportunities.

It has been lovely to welcome the new year 12s to the VI form centre over the last week. We had the pleasure of meeting lots of them at the induction day - they weren’t happy our vegetable car won! Brilliant to see so many smiling faces & we can’t wait for the year ahead!

Whilst our Twitter’s been quiet, the school hasn’t! After a very busy first 7 weeks, with UCAS and entrance exams stealing the show, we’re back and ready to make a splash. After 2 days, we’ve introduced VI form PSHE helpers for year 8 and the 2nd issue of The Captaincy is out!

Wow - what a day! On Tuesday, the 3 of us were lucky enough to be a part of the DCGS 400th anniversary celebrations at St George’s Chapel. A spectacular end to our time as School Captains, in what’s been special year for a special school.

It was a hugely successful cake sale at break time today, in aid of Young Minds UK. Well done to everyone who baked a cake and thanks for your donations. The cake sale made a whopping £890.37! David Atkinson

1XI Hockey team start their Holland tour with a 7-1 victory against HC Horst. Wilf Harrop scored 4 goals and the other goals came from Ed Moan, Will Lomax & Ollie Evans.
