I remember an interview about Redford with someone who did theater with him. Redford was having a hard time with his character, and the director was like “your character really likes this girl, but she won’t give him the time of day. Do you understand?” And he was like, “No.”

The Sting (1973) I'm devastated to hear Robert Redford has passed away, in fact, I've just cried. He was a pioneering icon who aimed to enhance cinema with every film and supported independent filmmakers through Sundance. We've lost a giant today. Thank you for everything, Bob.

Spy Game is one of Robert Redford’s most under-appreciated films. A vintage early ‘00s Tony Scott spy thriller, Redford goes toe-to-toe with a young Brad Pitt in the best way possible. Redford’s acting chops were always overlooked. He’s great in this film. So upset he’s gone.
