🫣Oh my god, I can't believe I'm about to start production on my own animated short film! This is a test render that may be the final version. Character model by: x.com/mattiaslind93 #b3d #blender

Am I the only one annoyed that there is so little open information about the animation pipeline on the Internet? Everything is written very superficially, without details... However, I still managed to figure it out, and I'm working on the layout! #b3d #blender #animation

I came up with an interesting method of stylizing the render using only compositing. For the most part, it relies on Kuwahara and Gradient maps masked with Cryptomatte. Fake rim light is made using a NormalMap pass. This is a test for my short film. Blender + AE. #b3d #blender

I like how you can spend a lot of time creating small details, such as photos, only to realize that viewers will see them for just two seconds. And besides, this is far from the final version... #b3d #animation

Am I the only one who thinks it looks like Glitch wants to monopolize indie animation? They already have so many shows, and now they've bought Lackadaisy, which is super unexpectedly. Isn't indie animation about diversity from various authors, rather than from a single studio?

I never even thought about how important compositing is for the final render... There is so many gradient maps, cryptomattes and so on. WIP of my short film, idk when it would be released 😶‍🌫️ #b3d #blender #compositing #animation3d

It's really a shame and funny that I didn't want to drag out the production of my film, but as a result I had to temporarily put the project on hold due to burnout and job issues. I hope I can return to the project someday with a fresh mind and a budget... (i know i'm noname)

burnout is something that's almost impossible to truly understand. it's literally a breakdown of logic, like what does you mean I have every opportunity to be creative, but my brain just doesn't want to, and I'm staring at a blank screen in tears?

dope (Commissions Open 0/2 ) I'm really glad that Blender now officialy supports ACES pipeline! I can finally do compositing and color grading in After Effects (or any app) while preserving the same colors across apps. Previously, I had to struggle with OCIO configs or even composite directly in Rec.709...
