Soooooooooooooo frustrating arguing with the government. All they do is protect themselves.

Once again I spoke to my Social Assistance Caseworker and asked her what she had done today to advocate for the best outcome for the patient, and once again she had done nothing.

The moral of the story today: No matter how many times the civil servant says "No Sir, you can't escalate it to the Minister's Office." .... If you kick and scream loud enough.... eventually someone from the Minister's office does get involved.

fuck im in a world of hurt today. just waiting to hear back from the surgeon but its looking like i will be in hospital again tonight... sigh

Just an average day in the life of a superhero. Gotta love my new shoes though!

The thing is, the help you think is there in terms of healthcare, and support systems... just isn't.

Some of my more observant friends will have noticed I was in the hospital several days earlier this week for emergency surgery. The next few weeks for me are daily VON, painkillers, and very little mobility.
