Last day in office. Well, 2024 you were wild. Hollywood actors, dead witnesses, campaigning vicars, live theatre events and the moment we feared that we'd killed Michael Sheen. Just imagine what we're plotting for 2025...

Hearing credible reports that the Welsh Government is announcing that Ty Llwyd, where Buried found 140 x background level of banned, cancer-causing PCBs, will NOT be declared 'contaminated land', but kept open for normal use for play and picnics etc. Waiting for more.

Delighted to be heading back to Derry with Dean Blackwood Sam McBride and more to talk 'Uncovering Mobuoy' and all things Buried at the NI Science Festival. Tickets here which they've subsidised heavily in the name of public interest on this issue: derryplayhouse.co.uk/event/uncoveri…

NEW: Welsh Govt has intervened after R4 Buried revealed toxic chemicals at 140 x background rate in South Wales. They're building a huge fence around it. But same land has been accessible for picnics and play for yrs. Is this action far too late? Contact us if you know more.

The Mobuoy illegal dump scandal has exposed the toothlessness of Stormont and the NI criminal justice system. Tomorrow night just a few miles from the dump site I'll be chairing a discussion about what happened & what can be done. Still some tickets here: nisciencefestival.com/events/uncover…

More than two years after pleading guilty, two Mobuoy criminals still haven't been sentenced. On the panel will be activists, a scientist and the journalistic pair whose brilliant Radio 4 podcast series Buried brought the scandal to a mass audience - Dan Ashby & Lucy Taylor.
