The American Bankers Association is almost 4 decades older than the U.S. Federal Reserve. This fact hurts my head.

I’ve been getting asked a lot of questions re brokered deposit rule changes. I came on here to say I will write a short analysis on “high, medium, and low impact” and all I see is tweets (are they still called that?) about brokered deposits.

I’ve seen some creative ways FIs are using to get deposits. Today I learned a new one: customers who have their last loan payment lower than typical payment: they pull full amount, automatically set up a savings account, and move surplus payment into savings acct.
