Together with UNESCO Ghana, we supported Ministry of Education, Ghana to convene a 2-day Technical Working Group meeting. The meeting seeks to review and align the draft School Health Policy with global and national standards to ensure every school promotes health, safety, and well-being.
Research & innovation drive stronger immunization systems. Thanks to Wellcome, together with Ghana Health Service, we are supporting University of Ghana’s School of Public Health to build a more dynamic, equitable & impactful research ecosystem to accelerate progress towards #IA2030.

At the request of the Government, World Health Organization (WHO) is providing technical support for the Free Primary Health Care programme and Ghana Medical Trust Fund. This week, a WHO African Region team is in Ghana on a technical mission, starting with a courtesy call on WHO Ghana Rep, Fiona Braka.
The WHO African Region team in Ghana, supporting the Free Primary Health Care programme and Ghana Medical Trust Fund, paid a courtesy call on the Health Minister. During their mission, they will support policy design and guide efforts to enhance the impact of these key initiatives.
Today, the Alliance for Health Policy and Research Board Members, led by Hon Helen Clarke, paid a courtesy visit to Kwabena Mintah Akandoh Minister Ministry of Health, Ghana. They discussed ongoing health reforms in Ghana & opportunities to strengthen evidence-based health policy & research integration.
