big step forward in how we model cement - featuring plenty of the work of Rupert J Myers from his PhD in Materials at TUoS!
*Very* pleased to be able to announce that this new paper by Xinyuan Ke has been published (#OpenAccess) in CCR: doi.org/10.1016/j.cemc…. Modelling carbonation of alkali-activated cements by clever tweaks to a thermodynamic approach, illustrated with some lovely graphics.
After 2 years+6m maternity leave, proud to announce that I am starting my first day as a Lecturer Bath Arch&Civil Eng. My pleasure to be part of a supportive team and a dynamic research center @brecicm! (Well... practically, this is part of my normal working hours🌖)
Pleased to share a couple of new papers from work w/ Xinyuan Ke, @cementsatshef, Oday Hussein and Susan Bernal - both looking at AAM: one on the thermodynamic properties of sodium aluminosilicate hydrate in DaltonTransactions pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/Art…
This work will be important for those attempting to model MICP in cementitious composites. Joint work between University of Bath and Wuhan University of Technology developed by Xinyuan Ke. Experiments led by Linzhen Tan with contributions from @GebhardLab and Veronica Ferrandiz.
