The first chapter of our PhD student Leonardo Bassi is now published in Oikos! We show that declining monoculture biomass over time (18 years!) is linked with root traits of the collaboration gradient and an aboveground trade-off in physical vs chemical defence.

A new study NatureEcoEvo led by Xiaojuan Liu shows: Plant diversity can affect ecosystem functioning directly and by affecting other trophic levels. Data was derived from subtropical forests at the BEF China experiment as well as temperate grasslands @jena_experiment.
