Well, well, Sarah Vine wife of Michael Gove, has unblocked me. She blocked me years ago after I pointed out they had to repay thousands of pounds they had wrongly claimed on parliamentary expenses for a new kitchen. Not that I want to dredge that unpleasantness up again.

Let’s all take a moment to give thanks for the beautiful life of Aretha Franklin, the Queen of our souls, who inspired us all for many many years. She will be missed but the memory of her greatness as a musician and a fine human being will live with us forever. Love Paul

Barack Obama on Aretha Franklin: “In her voice, we could feel our history, all of it and in every shade - our power and our pain, our darkness and our light, our quest for redemption and our hard-won respect.” Donald Trump on Aretha Franklin: “She worked for me.”

Care to comment Nicola Sturgeon @FergusEwingMSP @scotfoodjames? Are any of you really the least bit bothered that Scotland has lost yet another world class cheesemaker through belligerent bias @fsscot?

Today is officially our 40th Birthday! The best way to support farmhouse cheese is to buy some, so that cheesemakers can continue to produce these unique and special cheeses. You can meet sthe legends behind the cheese at our shops on Saturday. Which cheese are you eating today?
