When I ask customers to try out the piano after the tuning, they almost never play the top two octaves. Go on, I’ve tuned them and you’re paying for it! 🙂

It’s not a table, it’s a piano stool (bench in the US). These hard top ones are downright uncomfortable, cold & hard . Give me a nice upholstered one me every time

It’s early keyboard tuning day today. A ‘70s reproduction of a C17 Italian harpsichord & a fully restored Collard & Collard 1840 square piano that was bought new in Manchester by the family that still own it.

The British piano trade was always the most quirky and gauche. I love the convoluted message on the inside of this ‘60s piano where nobody would ever see it, or care if they did & in any case, there’s zero possibility of them conflating a Welmar with a Blüthner.

Day two of seeing 12 pianos in West #Cumbria. I do these 2 day trips 4 times a year. The early morning walk on the beach at St Bees is a joy & delight every time, even when the weather isn’t as good as this.
