The meeting of Parliamentary Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was held under the Chairmanship of MNA, Sher Ali Arbab . The Committee was briefed by officials of various concerned authorities on the ongoing projects at Gwadar. National Assembly 🇵🇰

The Chairman also directed concerned departments to resolve the issues highlighted by Committee’s members and incorporate their recommendations while executing the ongoing projects at Gwadar.

Moreover, the Chairman directed concerned Ministries, Divisions and other quarters to ensure the coordination amongst them and any undue delay in completion of projects at Gwadar will not be tolerated. #NACommittee

Newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan H. E. Nong Rong called on Chairman Sher Ali Arbab at the Parliament House. Chairman welcomed Ambassador Nong and assured complete support of the Parliamentary Committee to help expedite implementation of various CPEC projects

The committee would like to thank FES Pakistan and it's country head Dr. Yochen Hippler for supporting the committees' seminar in Peshawar. Together we will hold similar seminars across the country and round off by holding a 2 day national seminar on CPEC in Islamabad.

The 27th and 28th meeting of the committee will be held on the 25th and 26th November in the Parliament House. Focus will be on Commerce, Industry, Agriculture as well as discussion on SEZ Act, Rules, Regulations and how to improve FDI and Industry.

Regional Dialogue on the "Role of Parliament in Promoting Trade, Agriculture & Tourism under CPEC" was held in Gilgit Baltistan. Event highlighted #CPEC projects & investment potential of Gilgit in area of Trade,Tourism,Agriculture Minerals & Mines sectors for economic outreach.

The dialogue had two panel discussions on "Trade and Regional Connectivity under CPEC Opportunities and Challenges for Gilgit" & "Tourism, Agriculture, Minerals and Mines Sectors Development in Gilgit Baltistan for Economic Outreach under #CPEC.

The event was attended by Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan, Deputy Speaker Gilgit Baltistan, members from Parliamentary Committee on #CPEC, Government Officials, Academia, Media persons and Civil Society.
