Trying to choose a favorite word is like trying to choose a favorite kid only harder b/c SO. MANY. WORDS. Thus far, I've got higgeldy-piggeldy, addlepated, hurly-burly, hornswaggle, chockablock...Apparently, my faves are all funny. What's your favorite word, @iuhighschool? #iuhs

How have I lived 43 years without knowing this word? My household is full of contemplative souls, and I've been calling them "space cadets." Now, I can mix it up: "Dinnertime, luftmenschen! " or "Are you listening to me, my darling luftmensch?" #lifechangingword

One of my all-time faves. I find myself constantly on the verge of apoplexy over something. Declaring myself "apoplectic" makes me sound simultaneously old-fashioned ("Oh, my, I may faint dead away!"), super-smart, and deadly-serious. #wordoftheday
