After Democrats slashed critical school safety and mental health programs by 92% last year, we fought to ensure this funding was in the final budget. Through tough negotiations, these resources – totaling $321 million to support both public AND private schools – are back in place

Michigan's newly signed budget delivers on promises we've been making ALL YEAR, from dropping our taxpayer-friendly road funding plan in March, to demanding cuts to waste, fraud, and abuse in August. Here are just some of the wins you'll find in this budget: 🚧 Reprioritizing

The most successful job development/retention will be the Republican House led local roads/bridges rebuild/maintenance program. No more purchasing $4500 coffee makers and paying the nonprofit leader $550,000 for nothing in return. MEDC needs an overhaul. detroitnews.com/story/opinion/…

That's unacceptable. While not all students (less than 60%) attend college, a baseline education best prepares students for life, a vocation, or college. Why does Michigan perform so abysmal? wkar.org/wkar-news/2025…

“We need to get back to reality of people having clean, reliable, and affordable energy and you can’t do that with renewables” Rep Steve Frisbie know the Democrats’ Green New Deal is One Big Scam

The Republican-led Michigan House on Friday filed suit against all state departments and their directors to stop them from resuming spending on roughly $645 million in tax dollars the chamber cut in December. detroitnews.com/story/news/pol… via The Detroit News

There's several diary farms in the 44th and the rest of Calhoun County. They're great people who make up a sigportion of our local economy! #gotmilk

Of the $645M in work projects disapproved by the House, up to 70% was already encumbered and didn't need a work project designation. How could the state budget office have overshot in its request by 70%? detroitnews.com/story/news/pol… via The Detroit News

A sensible ruling considering the potential consequences of spending w/o legislative approval. $10 Billion taxpayer dollars available as a result of many issues: historical processes grown out of control, ghost job slush funding, & lacklack of constitutional oversight.

This is what happens when the private sector is unleashed & the govt is reduced! We accomplished a bit of that in Michigan with the elimination of almost 2k state govt ghost jobs for 2026. Dem policies work to grow govt and inhibit where meaningful jobs are created.

Systemic mismanagement all across state departments. Thankfully, our House Oversight Committees are identifying these issues. Change comes slowly or not at all under Dem leadership. Power of the purse should not be the only impetus for change. michigancapitolconfidential.com/news/mileaps-c…

In the last year, we passed a repair plan for Michigan’s local roads, cut burdensome regulations to lower costs, & got cell phones out of the classroom. Ahead of Governor Whitmer's final State of the State Address, House Republicans are paving a way forward for Michigan:

It was a complete honor to have State Rep Steve Frisbie join us for a roundtable last week, with key leaders in his district, to hear about the issues that matter most to their communities.
